Would You Like Some Quality Free-Use Biology Media?

For reasons that I'll discuss in this week's main piece, I'm collecting a pile of high-quality, free-use media related to teaching Biology. Getting this type of media is easier than it has ever been, but it's still not super-easy. With that in mind, I've decided to place the curated collection of the media that I'm aggregating, and citations for that media, in a place where anyone can access it.

Click here if you'd like to see what I have found.

There's a Read Me file in the root folder that you really should check out first, but let's review some of the major points that you should remember when accessing and using this collection:

  1. This is not my work. It's work that I've gotten from other places. The only thing that I did was use my teacher-sense, and minor tech-skills. While the work is available for you to use, you do so with the understanding that you will abide by the terms of the licenses that the work is made available under.

  2. This collection is provided as-is. I'm giving you the link, telling you to use it properly, and that's the end of my obligation. I won't be trouble-shooting individual issues, or handling anything that is already discussed in the Read Me. You need to be fluent enough in Google Drive that you don't feel a need to ask me for access permissions, or pretty much any other help with using this resource.

  1. The collection will be updated, irregularly, at least for a while. I anticipate putting up media for the next two major sections of my course (Energy & Information) by the end of the spring, and rounding it out by the end of the year. After that, all bets are off.

Those are the major points. Assuming you are cool with them, help yourself.
