My father sent me a copy of Evolution: The First Four Billion Years. Looks like it's going to be a great (if long) read. The book is bifurcated into a series of long essays on various major topics in the theory, followed by a collection of shorter essays on various thinkers, works and notable organisms. I'm about 40 pages in, only about 900 left. The only problem that I can see is that the damn thing starts to agitate the wrist after holding it for too long. Oh well. Knowledge awaits.
