Take That, Blind People!
As if anyone needs more evidence that the current state of US copyright law is truly fucked, here's a piece about how book publishers might claim that the new Kindle illegally reads out loud. The device, which has a robotic sounding text-to-speech converter in it may be considered a "public performance." Give me a fucking break.
I'm not going to sit here and say that I know how it should change, but I think it's safe to say that intellectual property law in this country is seriously broken and needs to be fixed.
