I really liked this bit of the story in the LA times blogs about Dick Cheney’s surprise speech to CPAC yesterday:

He was greeted by cheers and chants of “Run, Cheney, Run!” To which Cheney responded: “A welcome like that almost makes me want to run for office — but I am not going to do it.”

One man’s “not going to” is apparently another man’s “can’t.”  Who wouldn’t vote for a man who had his first heart attack (of four) at the ripe old age of 37?  Apparently, the CPAC crowd is all for it, and they are certainly an intelligent, thoughtful bunch.

The other news from the speech was Cheney’s “bold” proclamation that Obama is a one term President.  Somehow, that didn’t seem as newsworthy to me.  I mean, who doesn’t know Cheney’s a douchebag yet?
